Repair and Maintenance and Diagnostics – Type Approved Parts A recent amendment to type approval for Trailers and Vehicles is that the key type approved parts and systems must be maintained or repaired to the same standard as the type approved part that is originally fitted and approved for the trailer. There is also a requirement that the key contact information for the main type approved parts are available publicly for both repairs and diagnostics.
