Dennison Trailers Ltd, manufacturers of innovative commercial trailers, have this week announced the acquisition of Rhino Bodies. It’s a purchase that could lead to greater market share for the UK Commercial Trailer Manufacturer. The acquisition was officially made in September 2014 ahead of plans to build a new trailer factory in 2015 at the Dennison site in Lancaster.  Once the new factory is ready and fully operational, Dennison will begin manufacturing the Rhino Body in Lancaster later this year. Under the rules of the acquisition, Dennison Trailers will own the Rhino Bodies name, design rights and intellectual property. Rhino Bodies specialise in the manufacture of sliding hoods and canopies – mainly for the steel and coil industries supplying automotive businesses. Managing Director, James Dennison explained “Rhino Bodies will complement the Dennison Trailer range well. The acquisition could lead to greater market share – especially amongst steel haulage operators and steel stock holders who we intend to promote the product to”. Dennison will also be putting a coil well carrier with a Rhino sliding canopy on the road for demonstration purposes. The coil carrier will be exhibited by Dennison at this years’ Multimodal show at the end of April. For over 50 years Dennison Trailers have been recognised in the transport industry for new trailer product innovation. Research and design has been at the heart of the company in a continuous effort to optimise the customer’s payload, fuel costs, flexibility, safety and legal compliance. With the addition of Rhino Bodies, Dennison can continue to do just that.
